Sparks Players to watch
Dearica Hamby, who is averaging 20.6 points and 11.6 rebounds per game while shooting 47% from three, is a player to watch. Hamby recorded a season-high 29 points and 9 rebounds in the last game against the Aces.
In their previous game against the Aces this season, the Sparks two rookies had significant impacts. Rickea Jackson came off the bench to score 13 points, going 2-2 from three and 5-6 from the field.
Cameron Brink contributed to the defense as well, ending with a season-high five blocks and eight defensive rebounds.
Aces Players to watch
This time around it will be different for the Aces as they will be without Jackie Young who did not travel with the team due to illness. Young is scoring 18.3 points, pulling down 5.4 rebounds, and dishing out 7 assists a contest on average.
Given that Becky Hammon was going to start her two games ago if Young was unable to play, expect Kate Martin to potentially take over at the starting position now that she is out.
A’ja Wilson who’s been on a tear this season will be looking to make history once again going for her 14th consecutive 20-point game passing Diana Taurasi who did this for 13 straight games.
