The Las Vegas Aces hold a commanding 2-0 lead in the WNBA Finals over the Phoenix Mercury as the series shifts to a pivotal Game 3.

In a 91-78 victory over the Mercury in Game 2, the Aces were led by Jackie Young, who scored 21 of her 32 points in the third quarter - the most points in a quarter in WNBA Finals history. It was also the most in any playoff quarter since 2006, when the league switched from halves to quarters.

Star forward and WNBA MVP A'ja Wilson raved about her teammate's performance.

"I am so proud of Jackie," Wilson said. "I'm a pain in the ass sometimes when she's not doing her job because I know that it is there. I know that Jackie Young is there, so I try to bring it out of her. To be able to witness [her] on the court, [she] did some nasty stuff today; that's crazy. To live it, it's been tons of fun."

On Wednesday, Oct. 8, though, it was Wilson who was the subject of celebration. The star forward and Co-Defensive Player of the Year earned her fourth consecutive All-Defensive First Team honor from the WNBA.

"A'notha one for the 3x D'POY. Congrats, @_ajawilson22 on earning All-Defensive First Team honors for the fourth consecutive year!" Las Vegas said in a post on social media ahead of Game 3 of the WNBA Finals.

The WNBA Finals shifts to Phoenix as the Mercury need to win four of the next five games to hoist the championship trophy. Game 3 between the Aces and Mercury is set to tip at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN.
