In 2022, the Supreme Court came to an overruling of Roe vs. Wade which constitutes the legal right to abortion laws. Nevada is one of the remaining states where the abortion laws are permitted prior to 24 weeks of the baby’s growth.
All WNBA teams this year are encouraged to exhibit their civic engagement by partnering with different organizations. In this case, Las Vegas has chosen to support their efforts towards reproductive rights.
RFA has reached to over 48,000 members as of 2024 and is a nationally spread non-profit organization. Currently the company is present in California, Michigan, Arizona, Georgia, and Nevada.
The Aces will begin their tournament in the Commissioner’s Cup on June 5 against the Dallas Wings. Every game played will be against conference rivals so that the intensity is risen.
In this tournament, there will be five games played with two days apart from each other. Championship game of this tournament will be played on June 25. This will include the two clubs who carry the best record during the cup.
Each club in the WNBA will be competing for a $500,000 collection prize and the donation dollars are still pending.
It is possible that other WNBA clubs could also combine with the same company such as the Los Angeles Sparks and Atlanta Dream.
