Two-time WNBA Champion and Las Vegas Aces star Kelsey Plum had her jersey retired by her alma mater, the University of Washington, on Saturday.

Eight years after she graduated, the University of Washington retired her jersey in a special ceremony at halftime against Purdue. Plum’s jersey was the first women’s jersey retired by the program.

A campaign by the name of Forever 10 highlighted the exceptional career of Kelsey Plum, whose personal and professional impact extends far beyond the WNBA and the University of Washington.

Plum wore the number 10 for four years and set many program and NCAA records.

“It just brings back so many memories,” Plum said. “I really feel so blessed to share this moment with my family. Life happens so fast. It feels like two weeks ago, I was a senior here.”

Plum made her debut at Washington in 2013 as a freshman and immediately impacted the program.

She set the single-season scoring record as a freshman.

Plum broke the single-season record for the next three years and passed Jackie Stiles’ record with a 57-point performance on Feb. 27, 2017. That still stands as a Washington record.

Plum racked up 3,527 points during her collegiate career – second to Caitlin Clark, who broke the record during her final season at Iowa.

During the timeouts, the Huskies’ played special messages from former teammates, her Las Vegas Aces teammates, and her family, congratulating her for the honor.
