To the surprise of no one, A’ja Wilson is already dominating in the 2025 WNBA season.

On Tuesday, the Aces center was named by tbe WNBA as the Western Conference Player of the Week from May 26-June 1.

It is the 23rd time in her illustrious career that Wilson has won Player of the Week honors. Her next one will tie her with Elena Delle Donne for third-most in WNBA history. Other than Delle Donne, only Tina Charles (32) and Candace Parker (27) have more Player of the Week awards than Wilson.

In the two games the Aces played this week, Wilson averaged 27 points, 10 rebounds, four and a half assists, three steals and three and a half blocks.

Against the Los Angeles Sparks, Wilson recorded 35 points and notched her 18th 30-point double-double, the most in WNBA history.

In the Aces’ second game of the week and first in their Commissioner’s Cup slate, Wilson recorded  19 points, seven rebounds, three assists, three steals and four blocks in the win over the Seattle Storm.

Through June 2, Wilson leads the league in blocks with 2.7 per game. She also ranks second in steals (2.3) and third in both points (22.8) and rebounds (10.5) per game.

Last year, Wilson notched six Player of the Week awards, tying her for the most in a single season with Nneka Ogwumike (2016) and Breanna Stewart (2023).

With performances like this, a record-breaking fourth MVP award is very much in sight for Wilson.
