Through the first two months of the 2025 WNBA season, the Indiana Fever have hovered around the middle of the Eastern Conference pack, currently sitting at an even 8-8 record, good for third place in the conference.

Their performance has been a mixed bag with standout wins over playoff contenders tempered by unexpected losses to lower‑ranked squads.

Yet one constant has been the play of third‑year player Aliyah Boston, who has averaged a career‑high 15.9 points and 8.2 rebounds per game, while leading the entire league in field goal percentage at 59.7% (also a career high).

On Monday, she was rewarded with her third consecutive All-Star selection and second now as a starter.

Shortly after the news broke through the Indiana Fever's social media page, Boston reshared the post with the simple message: "Blessed ."

Boston’s journey to this point is steeped in accolades.

The South Carolina alum won the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year as a junior and senior, led her team to an NCAA championship in 2022, then was selected No. 1 overall by the Fever in the April 2023 draft.

She followed that by becoming the 2023 WNBA Rookie of the Year, earning All‑Rookie Team honors and starting the All‑Star Game as a rookie, just the eighth player ever to do so.

Her efficient finishing around the rim and improved passing (3.6 assists per game) have anchored Indiana’s offense this season, especially during stretches when star Caitlin Clark has been sidelined.

Defensively, Boston patrols the paint with 1.3 blocks per outing, ranking among the WNBA’s top rim protectors.

Starters are expected to set the tone in July’s showcase event, leading the roster in All‑Star Weekend festivities and tipping off the game itself on Saturday, July 19, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, a stage Boston has called home since her rookie season.
