For the 12th time of the 2025 WNBA season, Aliyah Boston and the Indiana Fever were without All-WNBA point guard Caitlin Clark, who suffered yet another groin injury before All-Star weekend.
On Tuesday, Clark missed her second straight game as the Fever faced Breanna Stewart and the New York Liberty, a rematch of Indiana's blowout loss on Wednesday.
Coming into Tuesday's game, Boston had recorded 1,496 career points during her three-year career. With 3:33 remaining in the first quarter, the former South Carolina forward hit a 3-foot layup off of a Kelsey Mitchell assist, marking her fourth point of the night and 1,500th of her career.
Boston became the third-youngest player in WNBA history to record 1,500 career points, achieving the feat at the age of 23 years and 224 days.
Ahead of Boston as the second-youngest to hit 1,500 career points is former Minnesota Lynx star Seimone Augustus, who achieved this number at 23 years and 111 days in 2007. But former Seattle Storm forward Lauren Jackson holds the record, doing so at 22 years and 93 days in 2003.
Boston was also able to achieve this number just over a month younger than Connecticut Sun star Tina Charles was (23 years, 257 days).

Boston has continued her strong play halfway through her third WNBA season, earning her third All-Star nod and her first start. Through 23 games, she is averaging a career-high 15.6 points on 56.3% shooting, 7.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists.
Following the Liberty game, the Fever will take on the Las Vegas Aces on Thursday. It is unclear if Clark will be available at the time of this article.
