Aliyah Boston Posts One-Word Message After Indiana Fever's Title Win
Jacob Musselman/ For IndyStar / USA TODAY NETWORK

Aliyah Boston did not have her best game on Tuesday night as the Indiana Fever took on the Minnesota Lynx in the Commissioner's Cup championship. The three-time All-Star finished with 12 points, 11 rebounds, six assists and a block, but shot just 5-of-15 from the floor overall.

It was enough to help the Fever get the win, though, as Indiana secured its first-ever Commissioner's Cup trophy. The Lynx put up a formidable fight, but in the end, it was the Fever that emerged victorious, 74-59.

Shortly after the final buzzer, Boston took to social media to share a photo of herself holding the trophy. She needed just one word to caption her post.

"Swag," she wrote on her Instagram stories.

What makes this win even more impressive for Boston and Co. is the fact that the Fever did it without their best player on the floor.

Caitlin Clark was ruled out of the game just hours before tipoff due to a groin injury, which relegated the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year to a cheerleader role from the bench. With their cornerstone superstar sidelined, the Fever still powered through adversity and took down the league-best Lynx in impressive fashion.

Boston and the rest of the Fever might need to continue carrying a heavy load as Clark nurses her lingering groin injury. She's already missed three straight games because of it, and with no firm timetable for her return yet, this streak could extend to four consecutive contests on Thursday against the Las Vegas Aces
