The Chicago Sky currently sit in 11th place in the WNBA standings under first-year head coach Tyler Marsh. The team has a 7-15 record at the halfway point of the 2025 season and is 4.0 games back from a playoff spot.

Due to various injuries to players like Courtney Vandersloot and Angel Reese, as well as players like Kamilla Cardoso missing time due to an overseas commitment, the Sky have used eight different starting lineups this season (via Pro Basketball Reference).

With Vandersloot out for the year and veterans Ariel Atkins and Michaela Onyenwere both out for the upcoming contest against the Minnesota Lynx, Chicago announced the signing of second-year guard Marquesha Davis on Tuesday.

Davis won the 2024 WNBA championship with the New York Liberty after being drafted with the No. 11 overall pick in the first round of last year's draft. She scored 1.2 points and grabbed 0.5 rebounds per game in 20 appearances for New York last season.

All-Star Sky forward Angel Reese reacted to the news on social media, posting four simple words as a message for Davis.

"Let's get it Q!" Reese wrote.

Reese is leading the Sky in points, rebounds and assists in 2025 with averages of 14.0, 12.6 and 3.8. She also has a streak of nine straight double-doubles heading into Tuesday's game, as well as 15 total on the year.

Chicago's game against the Lynx will tip off at 8:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday evening at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
