Angel Reese is having a big year in her third WNBA season. The 6-foot-4 forward is now with the Atlanta Dream following her offseason trade from the Chicago Sky.
Selected as the No. 7 overall pick of the 2024 WNBA Draft, Reese spent her first two seasons with the Sky. However, it appeared that her goals no longer aligned with the team’s toward the latter part of the 2025 season. Chicago suspended the two-time All-Star for half a game after she publicly criticized the team.
Reese later apologized for her comments, but it was clear that the damage had been done. The Sky ultimately traded her to the Dream during the offseason in exchange for one first-round and one second-round pick.
Reese is currently in a relationship with Orlando Magic big man Wendell Carter Jr. The Dream forward was a constant presence during Magic games throughout the previous NBA season supporting his man. Carter has also been in attendance for Dream games cheering on Reese.
While it is unclear if wedding bells are in their future, Reese recently reacted to an engagement announcement by a couple of her friends.
On Friday, former Miami Hurricanes and Texas A&M Aggies basketball player Lemyah Hylton and Cleveland Browns rookie KC Concepcion announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post.
“6.18.2026
God wrote our love story long before we even knew each other’s names. Now, we step into His promise together,” the caption read.
