Angel Reese Makes Big Admission on How She Earned Second Career All-Star Selection
© Mark J. Rebilas–USA TODAY Sports

The WNBA officially announced the 12 reserves for the 2025 All-Star Game on Sunday.

Unlike the selection of the starters, which heavily relied on fan input, the reserves were chosen by the league's coaches. Notable players such as Skylar Diggins (Seattle Storm), Kelsey Plum (Los Angeles Sparks) and Kiki Iriafen (Washington Mystics) were named as reserves.

However, arguably the biggest name of them all was Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese. The second-year player out of LSU, who was named to the All-Star team during her rookie season, will again be suiting up with the rest of the league's best.

While she is averaging a double-double of 12.4 points and 12.6 rebounds per game, Reese wasn't willing to take credit for the honor. Instead, she made sure to credit her teammates, whose wholesome reaction to her being named an All-Star has taken the internet by storm.

"Individual awards are team awards! Wouldn’t be able to do this without them! ," wrote Reese.

In addition to being selected as an All-Star, Reese also saw her chances of winning the WNBA MVP award increase as well on Sunday.

While Reese knows she is a WNBA All-Star, she and the rest of the players don't yet know what team they are on.

Captains Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever and Napheesa Collier of the Minnesota Lynx will draft their rosters on ESPN's "WNBA Countdown" on Tuesday. The draft is set to take place at 8 p.m. ET Tuesday and will air on ESPN.

As for the game itself, it will be played on July 19 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, and air on ABC, Disney+ and ESPN+ with the game starting at 8:30 p.m. ET.
