Angel Reese continues to deal with a back injury, having already missed the Chicago Sky's last five games due to the health issue. Despite that, she isn't letting the ailment stop her from making an impact on the Chicago community.

That much is clear after Reese reminded fans of her upcoming initiative with her Angel Reese Foundation. On her Instagram Stories, the Sky forward shared details about her upcoming Back-to-School Bash, through her foundation and in partnership with Reebok, scheduled for Saturday.

In her post, Reese encouraged her fans and followers to "bring the kids out" and join her for the event.

According to the post that Reese shared, they will be "giving 1,000 students FREE backpacks" and school supplies at the event

Obviously, the Sky All-Star will be present. In fact, she will hold a "special community chat" along with her mom, Angel Webb Reese, and some special guests. They are expected to talk about the following topics, per CelebritySportsAcademy.com.

  • Back-to-school readiness
  • Building mental strength
  • Anti-bullying strategies
  • A parent’s role in shaping student success

Reese will also have a meet-and-greet with the attendees of her initiative, which will be held at Intentional Sports in Chicago.

When Will Reese Return From Her Injury Absence?

While Reese is staying active in the community, it remains unknown when she'll actually be able to return to WNBA action.

There's still no timetable for her return, and based on the most recent update, she's still not close to playing. She was in attendance at their practice on Monday but did not participate in drills and workouts, wearing street clothes and cheering from the sidelines instead.
