Angel Reese Posts Powerful Message on Wednesday

Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese made waves this week after stepping out in a show-stopping Thom Browne ensemble at the 2025 Met Gala.

The look, which blended elegance and edge, was a highlight of the night—and Reese had something just as striking to say afterward.

On Instagram, she shared several photos from the event with a bold and personal statement of self-confidence and growth.

“I was already fine, I just needed to be tailored,” she captioned her post.

The 23-year-old athlete arrived at the Met Gala in a tailored black two-piece outfit featuring a cropped, collared top and a flowing maxi skirt. Her look aligned perfectly with this year’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”

Reese completed the look with diamond jewelry, a bold red lip and a sleek bob hairstyle. Reese’s appearance at the Met Gala wasn’t the only milestone this week.

On Tuesday, she helped the Chicago Sky to a 74–69 preseason victory against the Minnesota Lynx. It was also her 23rd birthday, though she had celebrated days earlier with a Y2K-themed party in Chicago.

While some stars attended Met Gala after-parties, Reese opted to head home early to prepare for her game the next morning.

“I don’t really party,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “I have to get ready for my game.”

Now back in Chicago, she’s teasing even more content for fans.

“Y’all be ready for a flood for the rest of the week,” she wrote on Instagram Story, hinting that the photos are just getting started.
