The Chicago Sky faced off against the Los Angeles Sparks on Sunday in a back-and-forth contest that saw the Sparks seize a lead headed toward the fourth quarter.
The game was exceptional not just for the close back-and-forth nature but also for the play of Chicago Sky rebounding machine Angel Reese, who turned heads with her impressive performance midway through the game.
Reese put distance between herself and a 2024 All-WNBA First Team honoree as she and her Sky teammates continued to blast away in a hard fought game against the Sparks.
"ANGEL REESE EARNS HER 36TH CAREER DOUBLE DOUBLE," the X page DraftKings said on Sunday as it shared the latest statistical update with its fans.

The double double put her squarely ahead of Alyssa Thomas of the Phoenix Mercury as Reese now has nine double doubles on the year compared to seven for Thomas.
The former LSU Tigers star had 13 points and 12 rebounds in 28 minutes on Sunday as the Sparks finished off the third quarter with a 62-61 lead over their Eastern Conference visitors.
"Keep it up for the haters lil sis," one fan said.
"No one cares about double doubles," another flatly added.
"Really truly don't care," another less-than-excited fan added in the comments section.
"11 rebounds, 11 bricks?" another fan with an Ohio State Buckeyes logo on their profile added to the discussion.
Reese has gained fame nationwide for accruing what she and fans have called 'mebounds,' named after her penchant for getting her own misses around the basket or sometimes father away from the basket.
Reese and the Sky have plenty of work to do with the Eastern Conference Playoff race heating up, adding to the pressure of the final quarter on Sunday.
