Angel Reese Reacts to Chicago Sky’s New Post Before Indiana Fever Game

As the Chicago Sky prepare for their home game Saturday against the Indiana Fever, Angel Reese is staying locked in. It's been a slow start for Reese and her teammates, who have won just two of their first six games.

The opponent is a familiar one. The Sky and Fever faced off to open the regular season on May 17, when Indiana rolled to a 93-58 win. This time, though, the matchup will look a bit different. Indiana star Caitlin Clark is out due to injury.

Reese appears ready for the rematch. She reacted to a team social media post showing her attacking the basket and finishing at the rim during practice. Her reaction? Simple and silent: just a repost of the video with no caption.

Reese, now in her second WNBA season, was the seventh overall pick in the 2024 draft. The 23-year-old forward is averaging 10.0 points and 12.3 rebounds per game.

In her last outing, she helped the Sky take down Dallas on the road, scoring 14 points and grabbing nine rebounds.

Saturday’s matchup also marks a rematch of the game where Clark committed a Flagrant 1 foul on Reese in the second half, sparking a wave of reactions and discussions across social media about the state of the league.

Reese is one of four Chicago players averaging double figures this season. Ariel Atkins leads the team with 15.3 points per game. Courtney Vandersloot and Kamilla Cardoso are also contributing with 12.0 and 11.3 points per game, respectively.

With Clark sidelined, Kelsey Mitchell has stepped up for Indiana. She’s coming off a 24-point performance in a home win over Washington and is averaging 17.4 points per game this season.
