For Chicago Sky center Angel Reese, it is a bit of a double-edged sword. She has built an enormous following on social media through her often forthright and open posts. At the same time, she has developed an aversion to fans who, perhaps, follow her a bit too ardently or seek to troll her when they can.
Recently, Reese has been in Florida working out with renowned trainer Iren Rainey. She posted video of her workouts with Rainey at the Rollins College gym in Orlando, and Rainey did the same on his Instagram account.
"Extraordinary ain’t for everybody but you best believe the 'Bayou Barbie' @angelreese5 is one of them ones…" Rainey wrote of Reese earlier this week, alongside photos of her honing her game.
Reese was also spotted, with Rainey, at an Orlando Magic, which was her second appearance at a Magic game this year, according to reporter Mason Williams. That sparked speculation about a potential relationship, perhaps with an Orlando player--when, in fact, she was just going to a game after a workout.
On Friday, Reese wrote on Twitter/X that she was, apparently, getting on a flight.
"Suspect shows up 10 minutes before the flight takes off," she wrote.
Shortly after that, presumably on board, she seemed to clap back at recent relationship chatter, which seems to follow her constantly:
"Now i see why people hide relationships & keep everything private like i don’t think i’ll ever openly share that part of my life with yall again until im married cause yall do THE MOST!"

Moments later, she added, "it will literally have to be all assumptions & speculations cause absolutely NOT."
Reese, of course, has kept busy off the floor in the WNBA offseason, with her "Unapologetically Angel" podcast and a recent ad for Reese's Puffs cereal. But she is working on her game, too, after having averaged 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds, while shooting only 39.1% from the field.
