Angel Reese Shares Personal Message With WNBA Star Chelsea Gray

Our favorite athletes are gearing up for the start of the WNBA season, which officially tips off this Friday. Excitement is building across the league, and players are giving fans a glimpse behind the scenes. On Friday afternoon, Las Vegas Aces guard Chelsea Gray took to Instagram to share a few of her favorite shots from media day.

"About that time ," wrote Gray on her caption. "#Year11."

Alongside her solo shots, she posted group photos with fellow guards Jewell Lloyd and Jackie Young, and center A'ja Wilson. Gray even shared three photos with her son, Lennox, who was born in early 2024.

"Within hours of the post going live, fans and fellow WNBA players flooded the comments with love and support. Among them was Chicago Sky's Angel Reese, who couldn’t help but show her excitement.

"my great grannyyyyyy ," Reese wrote playfully. In another comment, the LSU standout added, "omgeee Lennox is sooo cute ," gushing over Chelsea Gray’s son.

Other athletes who commented included Rae Burrell from the Los Angeles Sparks and former WNBA player Lisa Leslie.

Though they are on different WNBA teams, Reese and Gray developed a strong friendship during the 2025 Unrivaled season as teammates on the Rose Basketball Club. They’ve frequently interacted with each other on social media over the past year, and their playful exchanges have become a testament to the strong relationship they've built both on and off the court.

Gray and the Las Vegas Aces will be tipping off the 2025 season against the New York Liberty this Saturday at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, at 1 p.m. ET.
