Saturday brought the beginning of the WNBA season and a great matchup instantly popped up on the schedule. The Indiana Fever were playing host to the Chicago Sky, bringing back one of the league’s top rivalries between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese. Somehow, some way, heated moments seem to find these two when on the court together.

Another one has now taken place, with Reese taking exception to a foul Clark committed. Reese got an offensive rebound and while going up for a shot, Clark stuck her arm in there. This caused Reese to endure a hard fall but she was not on the ground for long.

Right away, the Chicago star got up and attempted to confront Clark. But she wanted no business of it, walking away while others tried their best to get between the two. You can check out the full moment here.

Officials went to the monitor and decided to hand out more than just a common foul on Clark. An additional flagrant was added to her name, while Reese received a technical foul. However, that was offset by Aliyah Boston, who got one upon review as well.

Clark was later asked about the moment in an in-game interview with ESPN’s Holly Rowe. She says there was nothing more to the play than just a hard foul, not wanting to give Reese two points at the rim, and send her to the free throw line instead.

“It’s just a good take foul,” Clark said as the game entered the fourth quarter. “Either Angel gets a wide open two points or we send them to the free throw line. Nothing malicious about it. It’s just a good take foul, every basketball player knows that.”

Mother of Angel Reese takes shot at Caitlin Clark

Angel Reese‘s mom took a shot at Caitlin Clark and Iowa Hawkeyes fans ahead of an Indiana Fever preseason game. Reese’s mother, Angel Webb Reese, went to X/Twitter to attack Clark and Iowa fans for the possibility of having a sold-out crowd at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. This happened after Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky played in a WNBA preseason game at LSU that had very few fans.

“Aww that certain fan base looking in the stands celebrating “attendance” while others are looking up in the rafters celebrating championship banners. We ain’t the same,” Angel’s mom wrote. “Different year same haters. Have a great day.”
