Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese both made their senior team debut for Team USA on Wednesday. Both WNBA superstars helped lead the squad to a dominant 110-46 win over Senegal. Team USA opened its FIBA Women’s World Cup Qualifying Tournament with a victory and is now 1-0.

Reese got the start for head coach Kara Lawson. The Chicago Sky forward finished with six points, a game-high eight rebounds and one assist in 18 minutes of action.

Clark, on the other hand, had an incredible debut. In her first game back following an eight-month injury layoff, the Indiana Fever star amassed a 17-point, 12-assist double-double with four three-pointers. She needed just 19 minutes on the court to show the basketball world what it had been missing.

Clark and Reese have one of the most infamous personal rivalries in basketball. However, these two set everything aside to team up for the national squad. In fact, fans were delighted to see Clark standing up for Reese after a non-call on the latter during the game.

Reese also showed her camaraderie towards Clark at one point in the contest. A photo of Reese and reigning Rookie of the Year Paige Bueckers helping Clark get up to her feet is currently making its rounds on social media.

Fans could not help but react to Reese’s actions toward Clark.

“Such a great moment for women's basketball fans,” a comment on X read.

“yea cuz the problem was never them they’ll always carry themselves with class,” another said.

“haters will say it’s AI,” a user wrote.

“This means something to me,” a reaction read.

“World peace,” said another.

“Omg I need to frame this,” declared a fan.

Clark and Reese have more moments to share on the court in the coming week. Team USA plays four more games, starting with a matchup against hosts Puerto Rico on Thursday. They also have games scheduled against Italy and New Zealand before closing out their tournament against Spain on Tuesday.
