With the new 44-game schedule for the 2025 WNBA season, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever have five games scheduled against Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky. However, it looks like Clark can't play in the second.
Just four games into the new year, Clark helped the Fever secure a 2-2 record, including the season-opening win over the Sky.
But now Indiana will be without its star point guard for the foreseeable future after announcing Clark has been diagnosed with a quadriceps strain, leaving her sidelined for at least two weeks.
"Caitlin Clark has suffered a left quadriceps strain and will be out a minimum of two weeks," the Fever tweeted on Monday.

If Clark returns within the projected two-week timeline, she could return by around June 10, when the Fever face the Atlanta Dream again. However, the injury will likely sideline her for the June 7 matchup against Reese and the Sky in Chicago.
While Indiana will be without Clark for some weeks, the Sky have had some issues to begin the new season. After falling to the Los Angeles Sparks 91-78 on Sunday, Chicago sits at 0-3.
With no WNBA games on Monday (Memorial Day), the main talk on social media has been Clark's injury. But Reese had other ideas for her first post of the day, flexing her pregame outfit from Sunday's loss on her Instagram Story.
The outfit included a black athletic tracksuit featuring white piping with a fitted white crop top. Reese also went with red heels and a blue Louis Vuitton handbag.
Reese and the Sky will continue to seek their first win of 2025, facing Alyssa Thomas and the Phoenix Mercury on Tuesday at 10:00 p.m. ET.
The next time Reese and Clark go head-to-head could be Chicago's third matchup of the year against Indiana on July 27.
