Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky suffered their fourth straight loss of the season, bowing down to the Phoenix Mercury 94-89 on Tuesday night.

Despite remaining winless in the campaign so far, however, the Sky got some positives from their latest game. For one, Reese made WNBA history with her performance.

The All-Star forward finished with 13 points and 15 rebounds, to go along with three assists, three steals and two blocks. With that, she became the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 500 points and 500 rebounds.

Reese entered the game with 489 points and 487 rebounds in 37 games. The previous record-holder for the fastest WNBA player to the 500-point and 500-rebound mark was Tina Charles, who took 44 games to do it. The Sky youngster needed just 38 games.

After the WNBA announced her historic milestone, Reese took to her Instagram Stories to share it. While she didn't write any caption, she included a praying hands emoji, showing her gratitude.

Angel Reese has struggled offensively to start the season, making just 13 of her 42 attempts through four games. She went 0-of-8 during their second game of the campaign against the New York Liberty.

Amid the Sky's poor form and losing streak, though, Reese is not losing confidence and continues to believe that they can turn things around.

"We’re not satisfied," Reese said. "A lot of us are winners. All of us are winners, we want to win. And I think tonight, we definitely have some sparks where we know our advantages."

Sure enough, hopes remain high that the Sky will soon start winning games with Reese leading the way.
