The Dallas Wings will again be without several key contributors when they host the Phoenix Mercury on Thursday night at College Park Center, continuing a season of lineup instability due to injuries.
Arike Ogunbowale (left thumb) has been ruled out, while Maddy Siegrist (right knee) remains sidelined without a timetable for return. DiJonai Carrington (rib) is listed as doubtful, while Myisha Hines-Allen (right ankle) is questionable after participating in limited portions of Tuesday’s practice.
“We’re just waiting on word from the medical staff,” Wings head coach Chris Koclanes said after practice. “Hopeful on a couple, so we’ll see who we have. We’ll do our best with what we’ve got.”
Carrington and Ogunbowale did not practice on Tuesday. Hines-Allen was active in a limited capacity, offering some hope for her potential return. These were all trends that carried over from Monday.
The Wings also recently welcomed back centers Teaira McCowan and Luisa Geiselsöder following their stints at EuroBasket 2025. McCowan averaged 16.8 points and 7.0 rebounds for Turkey, while Geiselsöder was named to the All-Tournament Second Team after averaging 14.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 4.3 assists with Germany. Both players fully participated in practice this week.
With the Wings dealing with no shortage of injuries, the team signed Liatu King. She appeared on a hardship contract in 12 games for the Los Angeles Sparks this season, averaging 3.0 points and 2.1 rebounds. She was selected No. 28 overall in the 2025 WNBA Draft by the Los Angeles Sparks.
The Wings (5–13) are coming off a 79–71 win over the Washington Mystics on Saturday, their fourth win in six games. That victory came without starting point guard Paige Bueckers, who sat out for injury management but is expected to be available against Phoenix. With Tyasha Harris (left knee) ruled out for the season, rookies JJ Quinerly and Aziaha James have been asked to step up. Without Harris or Bueckers, Quinerly and James scored 15 points each against the Mystics.
Phoenix enters Thursday with a 12–5 record, second-best in the WNBA, and most recently fell to the Las Vegas Aces 84–81. When the two teams met on June 11, the Mercury earned a 93–80 win, but Bueckers stole the show with a season-high 35 points.
The game will mark the final outing of Dallas’ four-game homestand before the team departs for a three-game road trip. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT on KFAA29 in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
