UConn star Azzi Fudd isn’t ready to close the book on her college career just yet.

Fudd announced Tuesday that she’ll return for a final season with the Huskies, choosing to run it back instead of entering next month’s WNBA Draft.

Fudd arrived at UConn as the top-ranked recruit in the class of 2021, but injuries have limited her time on the court.

She has played just 72 games over four seasons, including only 17 in the last two years. Despite those setbacks, she remains one of the most talented shooters in the country.

This season, Fudd has averaged 13.4 points and 1.2 steals per game while leading the Big East in three-point shooting at 45.3 percent. She also appeared in a career-high 30 games, a positive sign for her durability heading into next year.

Many expected the 22-year-old to be a first-round pick in the WNBA Draft, but her decision to return gives UConn even more experience heading into next season.

If no players enter the transfer portal, the Huskies will bring back 14 returners alongside three incoming freshmen.

For now, Fudd and the Huskies are focused on the task at hand.

UConn is still in the thick of the NCAA Tournament, with a showdown against Oklahoma set for Saturday at 5:30 p.m. ET. A win would send them to the Elite Eight as they continue their push for another national title.
