The Indiana Fever are riding high after a dominant 92-70 win over the Chicago Sky on Saturday, improving their record to 18-14.
However, the team is battling significant injury setbacks. During their recent game against the Phoenix Mercury, key players Sydney Colson and Aari McDonald both suffered season-ending injuries, compounding the absence of star Caitlin Clark.
In response to these challenges, the Fever made a roster move Sunday by signing veteran guard Odyssey Sims to a hardship contract. Sims, an 11-year WNBA veteran, brings experience and steady production, having averaged 11.2 points, 3.8 assists, and 2.5 rebounds over her career.
She has played for several teams, including the Los Angeles Sparks, Tulsa Shock, Dallas Wings, Minnesota Lynx, Atlanta Dream, and Connecticut Sun, with two stints in Los Angeles.
