Big Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese Announcement Made on Wednesday

The WNBA regular season is just around the corner, making way for round two of the Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese saga.

Clark entered the league as the No. 1 overall pick in last year's draft and Reese was selected at No. 7. Both thrived in their rookie seasons, Clark with the Indiana Fever and Reese with the Chicago Sky.

Clark won the Rookie of the Year while Reese finished second for the award.

Now, heading into their second season in the league, exciting news has fallen on the table for Clark, Reese and a few other WNBA stars.

Funko, an American company that manufactures pop culture collectibles, announced an agreement to launch WNBA characters.

Clark and Reese will be featured in the initial wave of WNBA Pop figures, according to EJayArrow.

The two other WNBA players featured on the initial Funko announcement are New York Liberty star Breanna Stewart and Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson.

As the initial report mentioned, the pre-sale for the Funko WNBA figures will begin on May 14.

Caitlin Clark capped off her rookie season with the Indiana Fever posting 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 8.4 assists per game. She led all rookies in scoring and led the WNBA in average assists.

Angel Reese also made a tremendous impact on the Chicago Sky. During her rookie season in Chicago, Reese averaged 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds.

Reese was the only rookie to average a double-double. Both stars wound up making the WNBA All-Star Game, leading Team WNBA to a win over Team USA last season.
