The Indiana Fever are set to play their third game of the season on Thursday, once again facing the Atlanta Dream after a heartbreaking 91–90 loss on Tuesday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Ahead of the rematch, some exciting news emerged involving Caitlin Clark and one of her notable offseason endeavors. During Wednesday night’s Sports Business Journal Awards, Clark received a major honor for her involvement in a high-profile LPGA golf event hosted by women’s golf legend Annika Sörenstam.

Clark’s participation in the tournament helped generate millions of impressions and significant buzz around the event. Her impact, alongside the efforts of Gainbridge Sports, earned them the "Brand Activation of the Year" award—recognizing their successful collaboration in bringing attention to women’s sports and elevating the tournament’s profile.

This is yet another prime example of Caitlin Clark’s growing influence in the sports world and the passionate fanbase she draws wherever she goes. While Clark is best known for her incredible talent on the basketball court—having quickly transformed the landscape of women’s basketball and how it's viewed—she’s also been open about her love for golf during the offseason.

Not only did she compete in this event, but she also participated in another Pro-Am, both of which drew large crowds eager to watch her play, which she made clear her "number one priority" going into these tournaments was to "not hit a fan with a golf ball."

Although she’s admitted she’s not nearly as skilled at golf as she is at basketball, Clark has described it as a peaceful, mind-clearing sport. She even spoke candidly about her growing passion for the game.

“What’s so beautiful about golf is, I think, being outside, I love that,” Clark said during the Annika LPGA tournament. “That’s the of the one bad thing about the WNBA. It’s in the spring and summer, fall. I miss a lot of opportunity to play golf."

It’s something fun to do,” she added. “I make it competitive. Go out there with your friends and have as much fun as you can and do something outside of basketball is really what I love about it.”
