Big Caitlin Clark Announcement Made on Wednesday

Caitlin Clark is entering her second season in the WNBA, looking to lead the Indiana Fever to a league title.

Last season, Clark established herself as one of the biggest stars in the league, winning Rookie of the Year and being named a WNBA All-Star starter.

Now, she's headed into a new year with a revamped coaching staff and roster.

Clark will be playing under new head coach Stephanie White and several new stars on the roster, such as DeWanna Bonner, Sophie Cunningham and Natasha Howard.

As Clark prepares for the season opener on Saturday, an exciting update was made in her name.

According to "Claire: Caitlin Clark Style" on social media, Clark's recent deal with Funko Pop will feature 1,000 Iowa jersey edition characters. They will be available exclusively at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

Along with other WNBA stars, Clark is getting her own WNBA Funko Pop as well. The social media account link revealed the following: pre-order sales were set to go live on Wednesday; they are set to be available in major retailers, such as Target, GameStop and Amazon; any order would be to reserve a Funko Pop, not an immediate shipment.

Will Stern at Yahoo Sports recently shared the news on the release of the WNBA Funko Pops, mentioning that A'ja Wilson, Angel Reese and Breanna Stewart will also have their own characters.

Caitlin Clark's popularity has been highlighted through various causes on and off the court. She's been a sensation since her college days at Iowa and has since emerged as a superstar in the WNBA.

Last season with the Indiana Fever, Clark posted 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 8.4 assists per game. Clark led all rookies in scoring and led the WNBA in average assists.
