Brittney Griner has been playing through her first season with the Atlanta Dream.

Before joining the Dream, Griner spent her WNBA career with the Phoenix Mercury. She's now playing alongside two of the biggest stars in the WNBA, Rhyne Howard and Allisha Gray.

On Friday, the Dream played against the Seattle Storm. Atlanta entered the game with the longest winning streak in the WNBA, posting six wins ahead of the matchup.

During their game against the Dream, Griner earned herself a new nickname. The WNBA posted a video of Griner and earned the nickname "The Painter" after finishing a score at the bottom of the basket.

"Brittney Griner, The Painter," posted the official social media account of the WNBA. "Classic BG footwork and power for the finish inside."

Throughout her first season with the Atlanta Dream, Brittney Griner has posted 10.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game.

Griner has been an incredible addition to the Dream. They rank as one of the top teams in the WNBA, listed as the No. 2 team in the league.

They held a 21-11 record, ranked behind the Minnesota Lynx and just in front of the new York Liberty who hold a 21-12 record in the WNBA season.

Throughout her WNBA career, playing most of her time with the Phoenix Mercury, Brittney Griner has earned nine All-Star appearances while leading her team to a league title in 2014 and bringing in two scoring champion titles and two Defensive Player of the Year awards.
