WNBA superstar Brittney Griner is testing free agency for the first time in her career and is proving she is still a top dollar player.

The center said she would be using the inaugural season of the Unrivaled League to take meetings with teams and showcase her talent. The center proved that she is still one of the best in the business, securing Phantom BC’s second win of the season with the game-winning basket.

Griner led Phantom with 29 points to beat Mist BC 74-69 on Friday.

The performance was her best in the season’s opening four games, breaking the 20-point mark for the first time. She converted 14-18 field goal attempts (77.8%), including her game-winning bucket over Mist’s Nalyssa Smith. Griner also brought down nine rebounds, just missing out on a double-double.

If there was any question if Griner can still keep up with the rest of the league at 34 years old, she showed that it is far from an issue.

Griner’s 6’9″ frame and brute strength is still unmatched in the paint. Her efficient shooting in the Unrivaled win showed it.

Phoenix Mercury guard Natasha Cloud also contributed to Phantom’s win, chipping in  six points, nine assists and seven rebounds. Griner shared the team’s highest point total with forward Satou Sabally, who also announced she’ll be testing out free agency for the first time after spending the first five years of her career with the Dallas Wings.

While Griner expressed the possibility of leaving Phoenix, Cloud wasn’t shy about recruiting Sabally to the Mercury after Phantom’s 84-69 loss to Vinyl BC Monday.

Sabally may have to be a serious inquiry for the Mercury as performances like this will only increase interest in Griner around the league.
