Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Atlanta Dream forward Angel Reese failed to win the title in the 2026 WNBA playoffs. Clark and Indiana went out in the first round, while Reese and Atlanta came close, only to lose in the Finals.
Clark averaged 20.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 9.7 assists and 1.3 blocks in three games in the postseason. Unfortunately, her production was not enough to overcome a Las Vegas Aces team led by A’ja Wilson.
As for Reese, she put up 16.1 points, 11.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.7 blocks in 12 playoff games. She was on track to win Finals MVP after helping the Dream take a 2-1 lead in the championship series, but the Golden State Valkyries made things difficult for her over the last four games.
While both Clark and Reese now enter a crucial offseason, the competition between them doesn’t stop.
Both players have been named nominees for the “Fav Female Sports Star” category at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. Wilson is also a nominee, along with Alysa Liu, Chloe Kim, Coco Gauff, Mikaela Shiffrin and Trinity Rodman.
On Monday, Nickelodeon reminded fans to vote for the nominees in various awards. The post included a graphic featuring Clark and Reese, as well as the rest of the nominees for the “Fav Female Sports Star” award.
It remains to be seen whether Clark or Reese will be able to win the popular pop culture honor. After all, both players had historic campaigns with their respective teams.
Voting for the award is open until Nov. 13, a day before the awards ceremony on Nov. 14.
