Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever decided to have a laugh at the home crowd’s expense after their upset victory.
The No. 6-seeded Fever knocked out the No. 3-seeded Atlanta Dream in their first-round playoff series with an 87-85 victory during Thursday’s winner-take-all Game 3. Indiana trailed for much of the game at Gateway Center in College Park, Georgia, but mounted a fourth-quarter comeback before Fever forward Aliyah Boston hit the go-ahead basket with 7.4 seconds remaining.

After the final buzzer, the Fever players were walking off the court in a celebratory mood. They received loud boos from the Dream fans as they were leaving and did some trolling in response.
The Fever superstar Clark (who did not play as she is out for the season with a groin injury) was one of multiple Indiana players who got in on the fun. They triumphantly held their arms up over their heads and made “W” signs with their hands to the crowd (to signify that they just won the game and the series).

The Fever were very much the underdogs during their series against the Dream, especially because of their many injuries this season. In addition to Clark, Sophie Cunningham (knee), Chloe Bibby (knee), Aari McDonald (foot) and Sydney Colson (ACL) are all out for the year as well.
But Indiana used an extremely balanced attack to defeat Atlanta on the road Thursday with all five of their starters scoring in double figures. They will now face off against the winner of the Las Vegas Aces-Seattle Storm series in the second round, and Clark (who has still been a demonstrative presence on the sidelines despite her injury) will get to witness more of the fun.
