Another day, another milestone for Caitlin Clark as she had her second WNBA All-Star selection and was named one of the starters for the upcoming All-Star Game. Moreover, two of Clark’s teammates will also play for the much-awaited event: Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell.

The league voting results were finally released on Monday, with Clark getting fan votes never seen before in All-Star history, totaling 1,293,526. Boston was third, with 1,174,669, while Mitchell had 753,368 votes.

On her Instagram story, the former Iowa standout congratulated Boston, a three-time consecutive All-Star, dropping

.”

Boston was drafted first overall by the Fever in 2023, where she was hailed as the league’s Rookie of the Year. The Virgin Islands native established her name in South Carolina, even going past Caitlin Clark, who played at the Iowa Hawkeyes, for the National Championship in 2022. In other words, she was already a force to be reckoned with from the start, eventually rising to WNBA popularity.

Moreover, Boston’s perfect dynamic with Caitlin Clark at the Fever also resonated among many fans. Her contributions to Indiana are also straight-up admirable: averages of 15.9 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 3.6 assists while being one of the leading faces of her team amidst Clark’s shooting struggles and her eventual groin injury that sidelined her again.

Fans expect Boston to join Caitlin Clark’s All-Star team, and it’ll sure be a perfect tandem. Add Mitchell to it, and a mini-Fever squad is formed.

Caitlin Clark aims to put Fever teammates on her All-Star team

As the captain of her own team, Caitlin Clark can choose her own teammates for the WNBA All-Star Game on July 19. When asked about whether she would pick Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell on her team, the Indiana Fever superstar wasted no words and went to the point:

“I mean, obviously I am going to try and get my teammates on my team. Why wouldn’t I? That’s obviously the goal,” Clark said. “Obviously my first goal will certainly be to have my teammates on my team.”

Other than Boston (since Mitchell isn’t voted as a starter), Caitlin Clark has the freedom to choose Paige Bueckers, Sabrina Ionescu, Allisha Grey, A’Ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart, Nneka Ogwumike, and Satou Sabally for the starting position. However, Napheesa Collier, also a captain, had the aforementioned players as her choices. It’ll be a fight to take these talented All-Stars, making the game more exciting and much anticipated.
