Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark played in the first four games of the 2025 WNBA season, averaging 19.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 9.3 assists per game. However, she's missed the last four games with a left quadriceps strain, and while she's been inching to get back on the court, her patience has grown a lot.

"I think my patience has definitely grown a lot," Clark said on Thursday. "And like I said, just trying to grow and learn. And I think I've certainly done that."

Meanwhile, Clark hasn't been the only Fever player out. Sophie Cunningham missed the first two games of the season with an ankle injury, and then after returning, reaggravated it, causing her to miss a total of four games.

Cunningham took to social media on Sunday to share a message about how things haven't been easy but she's going to keep being herself and smiling.

"life has been kickin my flat little booty this past month," Cunningham wrote. "injury. lies. injury. my tooth or lack there of. things just kept happening one after another, yet, through the frustrations, being annoyed, and straight up being exhausted on all fronts, he is faithful. so keep on keepin on. find the joy. do the right thing anyways. show up with good energy. be thankful your character and patience is getting tested. keep smiling. this is all part of the funnnn so embrace it all! it’s all gonna be ok… i think."

Clark saw the post and left a comment, using no words.

"❤️❤️❤️," she wrote.

The first opportunity for Clark and Cunningham to return to the court will be on Tuesday against the Atlanta Dream.

Tip-off at the Gateway Center is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.
