Caitlin Clark Has Immediate Six-Word Reaction to Fever Rookie’s Unexpected Moment

Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever wrapped up their preseason on Saturday with a matchup against the Atlanta Dream.

Clark had only suited up for one of the team’s two earlier tune-ups, and she didn't disappoint. In a blowout 108–44 win over the Brazil national team, the reigning Rookie of the Year put up 16 points, six rebounds, and five assists.

She looked to be even better on Saturday. Before taking the court at Gateway Center Arena in Atlanta, Clark and her Fever teammates gathered in the tunnel, forming a circle and clapping to a steady beat.

That’s when rookie forward Makayla Timpson was urged into the middle to start dancing, while players like Sophie Cunningham laughed and cheered her on.

Clark then shouted before the team came together to break down the huddle on three.

"I like it. I like that!" she said in response to Timpson's dance.

It’s clear Clark is happy not to be a rookie anymore. Last season, she and fellow rookie Celeste Taylor were the ones having to do unexpected things like that.

Assuming Timpson makes the opening-day roster, she’ll be the team’s lone rookie in 2025. The Fever made three selections in last month’s WNBA draft but have already waived Bree Hall and Yvonne Ejim. Timpson, drafted 19th overall, still remains.

The battle for the final roster spot will likely come down to her and guard Jaelyn Brown, a training camp invitee. Brown is in her second season in the WNBA, having spent her rookie year with the Dallas Wings.
