Caitlin Clark Makes Cover Of Slam Magazine For 2nd Time
- Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark rushes up the court Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2024, during the game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark has made the cover of Slam magazine for a second time. Clark made the cover of the magazine in 2024, when she was playing college basketball at Iowa. The newest issue that Clark will be featured in is a part of the WNBA’s season opener issue of the magazine.

Caitlin Clark’s Magazine Has Already Sold Out In Certain Variants

There is a special edition of SLAM magazine called the “Gold Metal” variant, which is essentially a limited-edition issue of the magazine. There are only 94 issues of the magazine, and the price will be $94. Regular copies of the magazine will be priced at just $11.

The cover announcement for Clark marks a great week for her. Last Saturday, Caitlin Clark scored a triple-double in the Indiana Fever’s 93- 58 win in the season opener. Clark recorded 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. She had a 46.2 field goal percentage, shot 50 percent from the three-point range, and 100% from the free throw line.

Clark Is WNBA To a Different Level

Caitlin Clark is taking the WNBA to another level in viewership, worldwide recognition, and being the face of a league that has often been overlooked. According to ESPN, Saturday’s matchup between the Fever and Sky reached 2.7 million viewers. The highest viewership totals for a regular-season game in 25 years.

Clark is the face of the WNBA, and it’s not a debate. She is the type of game-breaking talent that gets people interested in the WNBA or even the game of basketball in general. Every sports league needs a player like Caitlin Clark.

Clark Had a Triple-Double Despite Angel Reese Drama

There was a disagreement between Clark and Reece when Clark fouled Reese on a layup attempt. It went under review, and it was deemed a flagrant foul. Despite this drama, a situation that could’ve gotten in Clark’s head, she brushed it off and focused on playing basketball.

The reaction by Reese seems like it was a competitive, in-the-moment type of reaction. Anytime you’re going up against a player of Caitlin Clark’s pedigree, emotions and the urge to win will be at an all-time high.

Last Thoughts

Caitlin Clark deserves to be on the cover of SLAM Magazine. Her impact on the WNBA in the time she’s been in the league is incredible. Hopefully, she can continue to grow the game and the league like she has.
