Caitlin Clark Makes Unexpected Aliyah Boston Admission on Wednesday

Aliyah Boston and the Indiana Fever found some recent success without their All-WNBA point guard, Caitlin Clark, defeating the Minnesota Lynx in Tuesday's Commissioner's Cup Championship Game.

Clark has now missed eight games during the 2025 WNBA season due to a quad issue and, most recently, a groin injury. She is expected to miss her ninth game of the year when the Fever host the Las Vegas Aces on Thursday.

Over the past two years, Clark has built strong relationships with her teammates - perhaps none stronger than the bond she shares with fellow guard Lexie Hull.

The two frequently comment on each other’s social media posts and even took a trip to Mexico during last year’s WNBA Olympic break. Clark has also called Hull her favorite teammate to ride the bus with.

But when it comes to an emergency contact, Clark may have a different teammate in mind.

On Wednesday, the Fever posted a video on social media asking players, “Who on the team would you call in an emergency?” Rather than choosing Hull, Clark, like many of her teammates, named Boston as her go-to emergency contact.

"That's a good question," Clark said. "Ooh. I'm trying to think of, like, who would answer their phone. I'd trust basically everyone. Honestly, probably Aliyah. Probably Aliyah."

Other players who picked Boston include Kelsey Mitchell, Hull, Natasha Howard and Makayla Timpson. Boston would have picked herself if she could have, but settled for Brianna Turner or Mitchell.

Averaging 15.9 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 3.6 assists this season, Boston earned her third WNBA All-Star selection and will be a starter for the first time. She’ll be joined by Clark, who was voted an All-Star captain for the July 19 game.
