After securing a perfect 3-0 record in the preseason, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever officially tipped off the 2025 WNBA regular season.
On Saturday afternoon, Clark and the Fever hosted Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Last year, Clark and Reese’s rookie seasons, Indiana got the best of Chicago, winning three out of four games.
During her rookie season, Clark hit a long-distance shot in each of her 40 regular-season games played, tying Phoenix Mercury legend Diana Taurasi for the eighth-most consecutive games with a 3-pointer made in WNBA history. In fact, the only game Clark didn’t hit a 3-pointer in 2024 was the WNBA All-Star Game.
With 8:15 remaining in the first quarter against Chicago, Clark knocked down her first 3-pointer of the game from 28 feet out, extending her streak to 41 consecutive games with a made three.
In doing so, she passed Diana Taurasi to take sole possession of the eighth-longest streak in WNBA history.

Clark now trails former WNBA guard Kristi Toliver (43) for the seventh-longest streak of consecutive games with a made 3-pointer, and sits just behind Kelsey Plum and Taurasi, tied at 44, for fifth all-time.
The record for most consecutive games with a made 3-pointer belongs to former WNBA guard Ivory Latta, who hit at least one in 66 straight games from 2013 to 2015. However, New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu is close behind with a streak of 63 games, which was broken on Saturday against the Aces.
During the 2024 WNBA season, Clark seemed to set some sort of record in every game she played. She recorded the most assists in a single season with 337 and even broke the single-game assists record with 19 against the Dallas Wings on July 17.
Following the Sky game, Clark and the Fever will have a couple of days off before taking on Brittney Griner and the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. ET. They will face the Dream for a second consecutive game on Thursday as well.
