With new head coach Stephanie White leading the charge, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever have remained perfect in 2025 with a 3-0 record in the preseason and 1-0 to begin the WNBA regular season.
On Tuesday, the Fever looked to remain undefeated as Brittney Griner and the Atlanta Dream traveled to Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Coming into the game, Clark had recorded 347 career assists, including 337 in her rookie year and 10 in the opening win over the Chicago Sky.
With 4:15 left in the first quarter against the Dream, Clark recorded her third assist of the game—the 350th of her career—by finding forward Aliyah Boston for a layup that cut Indiana’s deficit to 15-12.
With the assist, Clark has become the fastest player in WNBA history to record 350 or more assists (regular season), achieving the feat in just 42 games.
The previous record holder was former Sacramento Monarchs point guard Ticha Penicheiro, who reached 350 assists in her 47th game during the 1999 WNBA season. Former WNBA stars Teresa Weatherspoon and Sue Bird are not too far behind, achieving 350 assists in 56 games each.

Clark also became the fourth-fastest player in league history to record 800 or more points, achieving this after tallying her 11th point of Tuesday night.
The assists record may not come as a surprise to many as Clark had already broken the WNBA's single-season assists record as a rookie. She even made history in the 2025 season opener, tying Los Angeles Sparks legend Candace Parker for the third-most triple-doubles in league history.
In that game, the former Iowa Hawkeyes star tallied 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, helping the Fever hand the Sky a 93-58 blowout loss.
Following Tuesday's game, Clark and the Fever will head south to Atlanta to face the Dream for a second consecutive game on Thursday.
