Caitlin Clark Reacts to Stephanie White's Appearance at Media Day

Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever marked an important event in the WNBA offseason on Wednesday. This took the form of the customary media day, as the entire squad faced the press for individual interviews. The event also includes photo shoots for the upcoming season.

Head coach Stephanie White also took photos with the team. This is exactly why the former WNBA Coach of the Year was in full Fever gear on Wednesday. White’s outfit was a change from her usual practice and gameday attire, and it quickly caught the attention of Clark.

The Fever superstar could not help but react to her coach’s appearance for media day.

Clark took a photo of her coach and decided to post it on her Instagram stories. The 24-year-old just had to poke fun at White and her media day attire.

"Why is she in full practice fit I'm scared," Clark captioned her post.

In the photo, White looked like she was ready to get on the court. She had a smile on her face, too, and looked excited for the day’s festivities.

Before she became a coach, White played six years in the WNBA from 1999 to 2004. She suited up for four seasons with the Fever, holding career averages of 6.1 points, 1.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.0 steals in 19.3 minutes per contest.

White was no star, but she played an important role in the early years of the Fever franchise.

After her retirement, White transitioned into coaching. She started off as an assistant coach with the Chicago Sky before joining the Fever in 2011. White was Indiana’s head coach in 2015 and 2016 before coaching in college and later with the Connecticut Sun.

This is White’s second coaching stint with the Fever. With Clark as her cornerstone star, big things are expected in 2026.
