The Caitlin Clark-Angel Reese rivalry appears to be alive and well based on an interaction the two had during Thursday’s Team USA game against Puerto Rico.
Clark seemingly snubbed Reese on a high-five during the second quarter of the game. Reese was heading to the bench after being subbed out, and while Clark extended her hand for a high-five, she didn’t quite connect.
It is perfectly plausible, if not likely, that Clark just didn’t see Reese’s hand and missed.
However, their longstanding rivalry is inevitably going to make people wonder if this was on purpose.

Clark and Reese have a rivalry going back to their college days at Iowa and LSU, respectively. Reese has not been afraid to take aim at Clark, though Clark has responded in her own way.
Whatever internal strife may or may not exist, it did not harm Team USA in a 91-48 win over Puerto Rico. Clark contributed eight points, while Reese notched 10 points and 13 rebounds off the bench.
