Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever got off to a stellar start to the 2025 WNBA season, defeating the Chicago Sky 93-58 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

It didn't take long for Clark to stuff the stat sheet, recording her third career triple-double with 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, tying WNBA legend Candace Parker for the t hird-most in league history.

But before she was a star in the WNBA, Clark made a name for herself in college with the Iowa Hawkeyes. Along with other standouts like Gabbie Marshall and Kate Martin, Clark helped lead Iowa to two consecutive national championships, but failed to secure a title.

Marshall joined the Hawkeyes in 2019, just one year before Clark, and spent five seasons with the program. The guard from Cincinnati, OH, averaged 6.6 points, 1.7 assists and 1.4 rebounds per game during her career, becoming a key part of Iowa's title-contending teams.

However, unlike Clark and Martin, Marshall did not attempt to join the WNBA following the 2023-24 college basketball season. Instead, she elected to retire from basketball entirely, pursuing a graduate degree at the University of North Carolina.

Now, Marshall is enjoying her Summer break. Over the weekend, she attended the 2025 PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, NC.

On Monday, Marshall shared a few images on Instagram of her and her boyfriend, Spencer Touro, at the event.

"Championship Sunday," Marshall captioned her post.

Clark, who is also a big golf fan, responded to Marshall's post quickly, commenting, "Cuties."

Following her rookie season, Clark also participated in an LPGA pro-am tournament called The ANNIKA, playing alongside professional golfers Annika Sorenstam and Nelly Korda.

“She's super mature for 22,” Sorenstam said of Clark. “Yeah, she's an older woman in a younger body if you know what I mean. In a good way. She handles herself really well and good with people, says the right things... She's a great representative of basketball and also women’s sports, in general.”

The Fever will be back in action on Tuesday night, facing the Atlanta Dream.
