Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever got off to a hot start in the 2025 WNBA season, taking down Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky in their season opener on Saturday.
The Fever blew out the Sky 93-58, with Clark leading the way with her triple-double of 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, along with two steals and four blocks.
Clark made history in the process, as her third career triple-double ties Candace Parker for the third-most in WNBA history. She also became the fastest player to record such a stat line three times.
A day after her historic performance, it looks like more exciting news is coming her way.
In a post on X, SLAM teased its "brand new" cover. While the cover athlete was hidden, fans were quick to speculate that it's Clark.

"CLARK MY LOVE," a commenter wrote. A hyped fan said, "hello caitlin!!!!"
Another commenter simply tagged Clark's X account, while a follower on Instagram remarked, "caitlin FOR SURE."
"Feeling 22," a social media user added, referring to Clark's jersey number.
"CC duh," a poster confidently shared.
It remains to be seen if Caitlin Clark is actually the new cover athlete for SLAM, but the wait to know shouldn't be too long, since it will be revealed on Monday.
For what it's worth, Paige Bueckers and her Dallas Wings teammates were recently given the SLAM cover honor. Bueckers, Arike Ogunbowale and DiJonai Carrington were featured in the special edition cover of the publication's 2025 WNBA season preview.
Clark, for her part, has been featured on various Athlon Sports magazine covers. She joined Angel Reese as one of the cover stars for the publication's 2025 WNBA Preview after starring in a commemorative issue celebrating her Rookie of the Year win.
