Caitlin Clark missed her fourth consecutive game on Thursday night because of a groin injury, but the Indiana Fever star did everything she could to keep the energy up on the bench.
The Fever dominated the Las Vegas Aces 81-54 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind. Even with her team holding a huge lead late in the game, Fever head coach Stephanie White was so angry with the officiating crew that she received a technical foul. Clark loved every second of it.
White appeared to be unhappy with what she felt was a foul on one of her players with 5:35 remaining in the fourth quarter. She shouted a few things from the sideline, which led to a technical foul.
Clark immediately stood up and began applauding after the technical was handed out. She also gave her coach a high five.

White downplayed the technical after the game and said she was just “making a point” to the officiating crew. She then joked that Clark should be able to cover any fine that the coach might incur.
“Caitlin says she got me, though, so … she just got a bonus,” White told reporters.
Steph White said earning the technical foul was done to make a point.

Clark obviously felt White had reason to be upset, and she was pleased with her coach for sending a message.
The bonus White referenced was likely the prize money from the Commissioner’s Cup, which is the WNBA’s in-season tournament. The Fever won the tournament with a huge upset on Tuesday night, though Clark did have a strong message for WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert over the prize pool.
