Indiana Fever superstar and All-Star game captain Caitlin Clark drafted her respective roster on Tuesday for the 2025 All-Star game, alongside the other nominated captain, Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier. Each selected four starters and six reserves.

Clark selected three-time MVP and Las Vegas Aces center A'ja Wilson with her third pick, making Wilson a starter on her team. However, during the Aces' Tuesday matchup against the New York Liberty, Wilson was fouled on a strong drive to the basket in the second quarter, falling on her right wrist.

Subsequently, Wilson received an MRI on Wednesday and attempted to warm up with the team on Thursday, but was eventually ruled out for the game. The MRI confirmed there is no fracture, and that she suffered a right wrist sprain.

Team Clark is also awaiting the official status of Phoenix Mercury forward Satou Sabally who is currently out due to a right ankle injury. Clark spoke about the situation, acknowledging the injuries and hoping her team can be a full-go ahead of the big game.

"It was really fun, honestly, I got a great team," Clark said. "I mean, two of my starters are injured at the moment. So I'm praying that they'll heal up for the game, or else we might have a little bit of trouble. But yeah, it was really fun."

On Saturday, A'ja Wilson suited up and started for the Aces as they hosted the Golden State Valkyries. She showed no signs of regression, scoring 25 points in the first half.

This comes as excellent news for Clark's All-Star team, who should feel very comfortable with Wilson's chances of participating after her most recent performance.
