Caitlin Clark ‘s aunts had the time of their lives at Thursday’s orange carpet kickoff of the All-Star Weekend. The Indiana Fever superstar, along with multiple WNBA stars, showed up and showed out for the fans. However, it was Clark’s aunts who gave the cameras some of the most genuine smiles of the night.
With Clark mingling with her fellow All-Stars and snapping pics, her aunts were living it up like seasoned superfans. They rubbed elbows with Minnesota Lynx standouts Courtney Williams, Natasha Hiedeman, and Kayla McBride, and didn’t waste a second posing for the camera. Clark, meanwhile, proudly played the role of photographer — and niece.
However, Clark was undoubtedly around more with her Fever teammates and fellow All-Stars Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell. Even Lexie Hull, Sydney Colson, and Aari McDonald chimed in with their cool OOTDs.
Also in attendance was Caitlin Clark’s brother, Colin, who recently spoke about the WNBA’s officiating issues. Indiana’s head coach, Stephanie White, and her wife, as well as Golden State Valkyries guard Kate Martin.
To everyone’s dismay, the former Iowa standout will unfortunately miss the Three-Point Contest on Friday and the All-Star Game on Saturday due to her worsened groin injury. She sustained this on Tuesday’s victory against the Connecticut Sun, where she scored 14 points and eight assists.
Because of this, Caitlin Clark’s All-Star Team is completely undermanned, with three of its stars injured. Clark will be replaced by the Mystics’ Brittney Sykes, who will play in the Games for the first time in her career.
Even Caitlin Clark couldn’t keep the injury bottled up this time. She poured her heart into a statement shared via the Fever’s Instagram, making it clear what this moment — and missing it — meant to her.
“I am incredibly sad and disappointed to say I can’t participate in the 3-Point Contest or the All-Star Game. I have to rest my body. I will still be at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for all the action and I’m looking forward to helping Sandy coach our team to a win,” Clark said.

Caitlin Clark’s injury occurred late in Tuesday’s game against the Sun, where she held her injured groin after passing the ball. While the Fever eventually secured the victory, she was in tears. This was the third time Clark sustained an injury in her sophomore season in the WNBA.
To make things worse, Clark, while still being the reliable floor general for her squad, continues to struggle with her shooting. Her efficiency never reached 50% in her last five games, a concern that must be fixed immediately.
