The worldwide release of Caitlin Clark’s first signature shoes on Oct. 1 was a massive success. It was one of most anticipated in years, and Nike went all out in promoting the Caitlin 1s. The Swoosh brand continues to drop new ads, just like it did on Wednesday. The Indiana Fever superstar reacted to it on Instagram with a hilarious caption.

She and the team are now in the offseason after their first-round elimination at the hands of the Las Vegas Aces. They pushed the series to a winner-take-all Game 3 on Oct. 1 but fell short, losing 94-83 at Michelob ULTRA Arena. Clark struggled from the field, shooting 6-of-18 and finishing with 18 points, four assists and three three-pointers.

Indiana Fever: Caitlin Clark’s hilarious reaction to Nike ad on Instagram story

Nike’s new ad was a follow up to the series of “nothing to see here” commercials. It showed Clark sitting on the floor in front of a couch while reading an instruction manual on how to assemble a book shelf.

“*Just @caitlinclark22 wishing assembling furniture was as easy as dismantling defenses,” Nike wrote.

Clark posted a photo of her with the book shelf behind her along with a short caption.

“ended up with a few extra screws?

,” Clark added.

The Fever are facing big decisions in the offseason, particularly with surrounding Clark with more talent. Kelsey Mitchell and Sophie Cunningham are entering unrestricted free agency and will likely generate a lot of interest from team around the WNBA. Potentially re-signing them and adding players who fit Indiana’s system perfectly will be key to their future success.

Clark and the team finished the regular season with a 28-16 and clinched the No. 6 seed. However, they battled the No. 3-seeded Aces with homecourt disadvantage. The Fever started the campaign slow, splitting its first 10 games, but turned things around after.
