Basketball fans and players alike have been anticipating Caitlin Clark's basketball shoe since she was in college. Clark signed a major eight-year, $28 million deal with Nike before her WNBA debut with the Indiana Fever.
In January, Clark went down to Nike headquarters to work on her shoe with the company. We still do not have a date for the shoe's release, but we know that it is in the works. Nike CEO Elliott Hill gave the public an update on the progression of the product.
"She was in yesterday working on her signature shoe that we'll launch," Hill said in an interview with Fortune Magazine. "We're working on her logo, her design of her logo."

"When we were running just 'Basketball,' we never got to the women's opportunity," Hill said when asked about Clark's historic deal. "But by having this small team that is focused on 'Women's Basketball,' it unlocked, we believe, opportunities for the game of basketball, but also our product.
"It becomes an opportunity to build the overall marketplace by inviting more and more girls into the world of sport. It is an area we'll continue to invest in, and we see tremendous momentum right now."
Based on what we've seen, her shoe will most likely be a low-top of some sort, perhaps with a build similar to the legendary Kobe Bryant's signature shoes. We've seen her sport low-tops since she was just a high prospect and exclusively wear Kobes since she was in college, almost making the Kobe 5 "Bruce Lee" variants her trademark shoe in her Iowa days.
We've seen 2024 WNBA champion and All-Star Sabrina Ionescu's signature Nike shoes take off, as they are not rare to spot on a basketball court on both male and female hoopers' feet. This is a good sign for Clark—she is already one of the biggest stars in the WNBA, and this could take her to the next level.
Caitlin Clark is transitioning into her second season in the WNBA with the Indiana Fever. Clark already has a plethora of WNBA records under her belt from her rookie season and is heading into Year 2 with a lot of momentum.
