As expected, social media was packed with all sorts of romantic messages on Valentine's Day. This included a sweet exchange from Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark and her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, who is currently the head coach of Butler University's men's basketball team.

McCaffrey isn't the most active personality on social media, but he wasn't going to let this special day pass without a public declaration of love for his girl. It was a straightforward "Love you" message from McCaffrey as he posted a photo of the two of them holding hands.

The post prompted a simple reaction from Clark, who shared it on her Instagram stories while adding a single black heart emoji to caption the post.

Both Clark and McCaffrey aren't the type to exchange lengthy, heartfelt messages publicly, and their sweet and simple Valentine's Day greetings are a perfect manifestation of how they keep things low-key on social media. Nevertheless, their subtlety did not prevent them from jumping on the Valentine's bandwagon.

Clark is coming off an incredible debut season with the Fever, which, among other things, saw her lead the league in assists per game. She deservedly bagged Rookie of the Year honors over her closest rival, Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky

Clark is now looking to make the jump in Year 2 as she hopes to lead Indiana to a deeper playoff run.
