Caitlin Clark's Viral Video Sparks Speculation
Grace Smith/IndyStar / USA TODAY NETWORK

Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark had the whole basketball world talking after her birthday shooting video went viral on Wednesday. However, aside from fans praising her, the clip also led to speculation about the purpose of her workout.

In the video, Clark can be seen working on her 3-point shooting. What left fans in disbelief, though, was the fact that she made 50 of her 54 attempts from 3-point territory.

The Fever themselves flexed Clark's rather insane workout and shooting accuracy , writing in the caption of their post, "Caitlin Clark shot 50-for-54 from three on her birthday. read that again."

Interestingly, the clip also fueled talks that Caitlin Clark is preparing for the 3-point shootout that she would reportedly participate in during the NBA All-Star Weekend this February.

As NBA fans would know, Golden State Warriors sharpshooter Steph Curry and New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu had a 3-point battle in last year's All-Star Weekend. The league is reportedly planning to bring it back for the second straight year, but this time, with a potential twist to include Clark and Klay Thompson, per Shams Charania of ESPN.

"Are you getting ready for a 3P contest Caitlin?" a fan asked. Another one confidently claimed, "She is practicing for the nba all star 3 point contest."

A supporter added, "Is she getting ready for all-star 3 pt contest?"

"Yeah I’m eating for her to compete in NBA all star game against Steph and Klay with Sabrina," a social media user shared.

"WE NEED CURRY VS CAITLIN 3 PONIT CONTEST IN THE ALL STAR GAME," a commenter wrote. A sixth fan said, "Curry and Klay don’t want this smoke."

If Caitlin Clark was indeed preparing for the 3-point challenge with Curry, Thompson and Ionescu, there's no denying that she's more than ready.

Regardless of the purpose, though, Clark is definitely looking really scary for the 2025 WNBA season.
