Caitlin Clark was forced to sit out Sunday’s rivalry clash against the Chicago Sky. This was the 23-year-old’s fourth straight game on the sidelines as she continues to recover from a re-aggravated right groin injury.
Clark watched from the bench as the Fever secured a convincing 93-78 win against the Sky, who played without Angel Reese due to a back injury. Reese joined Ariel Atkins, Moriah Jefferson and Hailey Van Lith on the sidelines as a shorthanded Chicago side suffered its fifth straight loss.
Clark took to social media shortly after the win, and she did not need any words to flex the Fever’s big win against their rivals.

With Clark out of the picture, it was Kelsey Mitchell who stepped it up for Indiana. The three-time All-Star went off for a season-high 35 points on seven triples as she led her team to another dominant win against the Sky.
Sunday’s victory marked the Fever’s third win against the Sky this season. The 15-point win represents Indiana’s smallest margin of victory against Chicago this year after the Fever dominated their rivals in their first two meetings by 35 and 27 points, respectively.
At this point, there’s no denying that Indiana has Chicago’s number, regardless of injuries.
These two teams face off two more times this season. Indiana will host both games at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on August 9 and September 5.
